Tampa: Lisa
Berardo, Collective Construction and Interiors completes design project for
$2.4B for Venetian Macau
International
Designer, Lisa Berardo, Owner of Collective Construction and
Interiors, recently returned from a 2-year assignment to carry through the
design intent with the Venetian Hotel, Macau, S.A.R. China,
a sister property to the famous luxury hotel of the same name in Las Vegas.
Ms. Berardo,
a 20 year veteran, was chosen from hundreds of multi talented professionals to locate to China in 2007-08 for this life changing career
experience. Upon returning to the States in 2009, she relocated her business to
South Tampa, to service her clients throughout the US and abroad.
Berardo says
“It was my good fortune to have been chosen and to be able to take my talent
and drive to an international level, through this massive, larger than life experience…
to have partnered with other international designers for this venture was definitely
a dream come true for me.” Berardo was engaged to primarily oversee
furniture, fixtures and equipment at the hotel’s four towers in Phase 5 and 6,
totaling 4M square feet.
The project consisted of two Shangri La Hotels, Sheraton St
Regis and Traders Hotel operated under the Starwood brand. In each tower there
are casinos, retail space, restaurants, and convention space totaling 1M square
feet.
The name for Collective
Construction and Interiors was chosen to signify a collaboration of Lisa
Berardo’s professional talents for designing interiors. By using subcontractors
for specific areas of each project, such as Architects and General Contractors,
smaller firms may stay in business longer. Most designers “do
it all”, one firm doing all the work? She believes this leaves little room for
growth in our economy. “When we partner together miracles happen”, it’s that
simply”, Lisa says.
